In 2019, I joined forces with Woodland Park Zoo's Vice President of Field Conservation to brainstorm a strategy for a full-scale catalog of all the zoo's conservation projects. My job was to maintain consistency and flow while highlighting the zoo's three areas of investment, all with varying tiers of complexity. Together, we worked on identifying goals and takeaways, audience and stakeholders, and calls to action. We found a structure for content that amplified the zoo's mission and gave readers a consistent snapshot of each project, and I created a fluid template that allowed science-minded people a tangible vision of their final product, as design and content developed simultaneously. In April of 2020, after a few delays that come from working with field partners located in remote areas around the world, we finished the report amidst the confusion of Covid-19 quarantine. Though this prevented us from printing a paper version of the report, digital copies were distributed to donors, city council, state, and national organizations, along with the many loyal followers of the zoo.
